My job ♥

It's a little difficult for me to decide where I want to work in a few years, but what I'm sure of is that I would never work in the area of animal production. For now, my idea is to work with small animals (like dogs and cats), but I do not close the possibility of working in another area of veterinary.
I'd love to work in a veterinary clinic and then be the owner of one. I think working there, I could help cats or dogs, and their owners tooobviously I could assist the animal because I'll have the ability to diagnose and then cure him. At the same time I'll be helping the owner, because I could tell if his or her pet is healthy or sick.
But I have a bigger dream, which is to build a refuge for homeless dogs :) I'd be very happy if I could do it because I can not stand the idea of these inocent creatures living in terrible conditions because of irresponsible people who doesn't know how to take care of a pet.
The fact of having or not a boss controlling me, is not important for me...I just wanna make happy all dogs and cats that will going to visit me in the future :)
Lets see what will happen in the coming years...

My Favourite Subject

If I had to choose my favorite subject, it would be definitely chemistry. Maybe, most of my classmates hate it, but I think chemistry it's not so bad. Now the question is, why I like it? Honestly, I'm not very sure, but it could be 3 different reasons: at first because in school I liked it and I had good marks. Secondly, for me it's easy to understand and that simplifies me things. And finally (and maybe the most simple reason) because it's a very interesting subject and chemistry will let me understand more about the metabolism of animals.
Basically this subject it's about reactions between different organic and inorganic compounds and how to name them, know the properties of the elements.
Mondays, Thuesdays and Wednsdays we have lecture with Mr. Héctor Adarmes or Mr. Marco Galleguillos and Fridays we have laboratory. In the labs we do experiments to apply what we saw on lectures. For me, this is the best part of chemistry because I see how are the reactions and I understand better the things we saw in the classes.

Steve Irwin

Stephen Robert "Steve" Irwin, nicknamed "The Crocodile Hunter", was an Australian television personality, wildlife expert, and conservationist. He was born in 22th February 1962, in Essedon. In 1991, he met with her wife Terri Raines, and togheter co-owned and operated Australia Zoo (founded by Irwin's parents). Unfortunately, he died on 4 September 2006, after being pierced in the chest by a stingray barb, while he was filming his documentary Ocean's Deadliest.
Irwin achieved worldwide fame from the television series The Crocodile Hunter, an internationally broadcast wildlife documentary series which he co-hosted with his wife Terri. Also, he operated Australia Zoo with his wife Terri. Irwin founded the Steve Irwin Conservation Foundation, which became an independent charity and was later renamed "Wildlife Warriors Worldwide" and he helped found International Crocodile Rescue.
I like Steve Irwin because he was a great man who loved his profesion and promoted environmentalism with all his documentary of wildlife animals. He considered himself a "Wildlife warrior" what it means that his love for the animals was huge. I hope there are more veterinaries, ecologist or conservationist that cares about the preservation of endangered animals in the world.

A New Veterinary

I remember the day I decided to be a veterinarian... I was walking through the school yard and saw a wounded dog...I felt usseles because I couldn't do anything for him, but inside me, something told me that if didn't help him, I could help another animal. It was the last year, but my love for animals has always been.
Now, I'm very happy with my decison to study veterinary medicine. I know it will be difficult, but everything is for animals. I'm sure the simple fact of seeing a dog or cat healthy and happy, will reward all the effort.
When I heard that the university was in La Pintana, I was a little scared cause it's known of thefts. But now I come every day, I'm not scared anymore :) For me, La Pintana is like any other area (THEFT IS EVERYWHERE!!). The faculty is the best! I love that there is grass everywhere ♥. In a month I've met wonderful people, and I hope we'll be friends for much longer =) They make me laugh all day, and I really appreciate it.
I'm sure in a couple of years, I will be thinking the same and even better things I'm writing now about the career.
